Do I need to attend sessions with my child?
Typically, we ask that both the parent(s) and the child attend at the initial session. However, parents and caregivers are asked to carefully consider if this is appropriate for your child. If your child is easily distressed it may be suitable to complete a Parent only session to discuss the problems. Following this, who attends ongoing sessions will be collaboratively agreed. Commonly sessions would involve various combinations of the child-only, parent/s-only, and parent/s and child together, depending on your needs and preferences.

Yes, however a Young Person needs to have the capacity to give informed consent. This capacity will be determined by the Psychologist.
What happens at the first session?
